Alright, we deciced to end the year with a Readers Poll on the music that has been released in the past year. Not every CD or mixtape released in 2008 is a nominee, although several categories allow you to fill in your own selection. We will have the poll open through Monday January 5, 2009 and announce the Reader Results shortly after that time. We will also be publishing OutHipHop.com's Best of 2008 Critic's Poll Results as well.

Today is an awareness day that world organizations as well as local ones remind us of the toll AIDS has taken, and memorials that take place to remember them. Many think that HIV/AIDS is not as relevant in 2008 as it was in 1988, yet trust me, it is. In a year that someone I knew personally still died more than likely from complications of the disease, AIDS is still a killer and today we memorialize those lost, and mobilize others to be tested.

I only ask that we not choose to make this the ONLY day

So of course, we start off with your name. Why did you choose Psycho Sexy?

Well writing and rapping is half of my two loves...the other believe it or not is Wrestling like WWE Training Wrestling and I got trained after a couple months I was the only flaming one there and I used to do matches in papi underwear LOL anyways there was a gimmick that I was psychotic because the main coach found out about my past and all the straight boys that had been cool with had use to play around with me sayin hey sexy!!! So I put psycho sexy together.

Tell us about the city and state you are in and how you fit into it?

I live in wack ass Rhode island but I'm from Florida the folk who I was with is from Atlanta so I that’s probably where how I talk and how I cook and how I walk and how I act comes in...the big ass aint because I’m from the south it’s because I’m Mexican and it just runs in the family

I is Psycho Sexy a Schizophrenic Sex Kitten with a heart...its a black heart but a heart nonetheless I get a lot of folk who think I’m Caucasian but I’m actually

Alright, Lester Greene has given us (and you) a free CD. It is 11 original tracks that will NOT be on his official CD which comes out next year (another one to watch out for in 2009). Basically they are B Sides or "out takes" that did not "make" his CD but he still feels are worthy of being shared. Just so no one is confused, he calls it "Not Tha Album" and it is available as an OHH Exclusive Free Download. Let us know what you think.

Another 2009 release to look forward to, Tim'm West new CD is titled In Security: The Golden Error and is scheduled to be released MLK Weekend 2009. This CD is Tim'm's 3rd solo project following critically acclaimed projects "Songs from Red Dirt", the more recent "Blakkboy Blue(s)", and several projects with the now defunct Deep Dickollective. The album, not unlike the first two, is an autobiographical lens through Tim'm's life as a black man, a black gay man, and a Hip Hop head.

The CD will feature original production by a strong cast of both straight and LGBT emcees/vocalists and producers. It will feature vocal collabs with

Two pieces of news, maybe three if you count his new track, "U Ain't Talkin 4 Me", going on about Thuglicious. We have noticed on his MySpace page he is referring to himself as Twizza (the artist formerly known as Thuglicious). Is he officially becoming Twizza? Anyhow, he wasn't able to get back with us to that question but he did let us know some important info about his forthcoming CD.

It's is no longer a mixtape, it is going to be an EP! It will feature original beats by his producer and various special guests and it is due out early next year. We will definitely post more about this when he makes the official statement but we just broke this as soon as we heard it.

Lesbian rapper JFP (aka Julie Fuckin Potter) who moved to L.A. from San Francisco this year has started her Master's in Comedy at Second City Los Angeles. Yet another out hip hop rapper who is doing comedy as well. Deadlee has dabbled in it and Soce does it consistently. JFP has also been taking hip hop dance classes and voice lessons. She says she may have a little Mariah in her. We look forward to hearing what that might sound like.

Everyone's favorite gay NYC Jewish rapper, Soce the Elemental Wizard is filming another music video. He will be doing a group shoot for his new video "They Call Me" on Saturday afternoon, Dec 20 in West Village. This song is going to be 100% clean, and the goal is to get it up on Logo this time(we guess there is a back story about his last video not being allowed on?). It's the lead single from his new album, Master of Fine Arts. Please contact Soce via his MySpace.

Dominick aka Big D, the founder and CEO of Bring The Noise Entertainment in Connecticut told us he is planning a "Gay Hip Hop Showcase". We asked a few specific questions (who is booked, is there compensation, what will the venue be like etc etc.), which were not answered but he did give his email and a phone number.
