Welcome to OutHipHop.com

Our goal is to be the primary destination on the internet for ALL "out" hip hop artists (and their FANS) - an all inclusive home for Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transgender (Male to Female AND Female to Male) artists who make ALL forms of rap and every variation of hip hop and are "out" with their sexuality. Rappers in the closet won't touch us with a 10" pole!

Our website will feature Interviews, News, Artist Directory,  Feature Stories, Bulletin Board, and Media for ALL known out artists, past and present. We will showcase new artists as well as feature editorials and stories from people who have been pioneers, back when it was called "homohop" or "gay hip hop".

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

We know we promised another update this week, but the devasatating loss to the music world of Michael Jackson has effected us in a profound way, and our focus will be regained shortly. We do know Tori Fixx is dedicating his Pride weekend performances to the King of Pop and our critic Rex Stone released this statement/challenge yesterday:

I am feeling hurt, sorrow, and anguish about The Icon...The King of Pop...The Brotha...Michael Jackson dying today! I hope that there will be some type of memorial from some of you true Out hip-hop artist and fans. M.J. opened doors in music that no one ever has or will. Pick out your favorite Jackson song and spit a hot 16 or collabo or single, hell even an album! Let's do it to show them who we really are as true artist and entertainers!

This is the worst news I've heard in a long time. It's making me re-think a lot of what I am doing as an entertainer. For one I have to take my shows to a larger level and I'm going to re-touch my new CD. There has been only two major entertainer who have influenced me, and he is one of them. He was music biggest asset.

Michael Jackson (Prince, and James Brown) are the three artists that definitely shaped my life. MJ's music (with his brothers and as a solo artist) will always be part of me. I have EVERY VINYL album Michael put out. I think I'll fire up my old turn-table this weekend and give a listen to one of the greatest to ever do this music thang.

My most recent memory of Michael Jackson was this past weekend at Pick Up The Mic, where I visited Hollywood's "Walk of Fame" and snapped a pictured of Michael's star. I remember thinking, "What's he doing these days?"

Long live the King of POP, Rock, & Soul. Another generation will be blessed to hear an artist as great as this man was! R.I.P. to the dearly departed M.J.!

I spoke at a vigil at one of the local colleges last night. This loss is something that's swayed my focus as well. I looked up to Michael in so many ways, not just as an artist, but as a survivor. My thoughts and prayers are with the Jackson family, and my fellow MJ fans around the world. We've lost a legend.

I was at work when the news broke...I had to walk off for a brief moment it was too much to take. I grew up in Central America were I would comb my hair and dress like him. My sister called me the night of and reminded me of that. Michael will definately be Missed!.
