OHH Bulletin Board > Is Khalil Amani Part of Gay Hip-Hop?
Fuck what the bitches in England have to say. They still have the mentality like they own a mutha fucka -Its that European old world disease- They still trying to claim shit-- fuck those wankers--They all wannabee - In reality gay peeps aint no diff than straight -- there are good and bad in whateva culture or group of peeps- Trust S.A.you are welcomed in my world and after Street Cred you know you are highly respected with the majority of the rappers -- The Makers and Klusters and Aggies are bitter mutha fucks - that need to go gag on a big dick and die.
Khalil is a part of gay hip hop if he wants to be. No one can opinionate him in or out. That's the thing, no one has the authority to say who is valid and who is not, and quite often, those raising the question are resting on their laurels which are long gone.
Khalil Amani has done more for gay hip hop in the last three years than Mister Maker or Klustor. To have a say in this discussion, they can't keep referring to what they have done in the past.
They are no longer relevant. They need to remain relevant for their voices to mean anything.
I really wouldn't worry about it Khalil.
Hmmm so transparent you two, don't you realize every one can see through this topic ! What you hoping for ? A happy welcome ? every one to stand up and say "ohh please help us" .... Khalil, to be honest with myself i just feel like now i dont have to meet you to know what kind of a person you are. I can see you have a passion in what your doing, and that why you were welcomed by most, but you really got issues with somthing cos i know i aint do shit ! it's a cracker english thing ? fuck knows what your problem ? is so ima just let people learn for themselves, I'm sure it'l all be clear one day.
As far as Joseph's Concerned you aint shit to me ! You made all this bullshit yourself ! Got issues with me cos my boy FUCKED YOU UP on a diss track and you couldnt come back on it cos your WEAK. Dude next time you put a pen to a pad, or open your laptop to start typing just stop and say "okay is what im writing dope" prehaps then you might even be half decent...
OK, so this is how its gon be... So tired of this shit already. Khalil, I don't have an issue with you doin whatever you wanna do with your life/writing/blogs whatever. What I do have an issue with is your god-like ego, writing shit like how your "fighting" for us, like you give us credibility cause your some straight dood. The way you replied the other day was flat out ignorant, end of, and if you all go an read the post you'll see what I'm talkin about. So you were defendin your boy Deadlee, as you said in the post, yeah? So I was defendin my boy Maker. So, what makes your arrogant ranting any more legit than mine? You went out on the attack on Maker, period, which you can't deny. I'll be the first to admit, I don't like Deadlees music, his writing style is weak and he can't spit a bar for shit, but do I go round makin posts about it mockin his name, or tryin to cause mad drama from it? That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. I will also say I can't stand the way you think your doin all the gay peeps in hiphop some huge favour, like we are supposed to bow down and kiss your ass cause your a straight hiphop head and your payin attention to us. Save it. So you write a post on here callin my name out, which is cool. Your gonna massage your own ego by gettin nuff posts sayin fuck Klustor (and can we just note, its O-R not E-R, if your gonna cuss me, atleast get it right) or fuck Maker, but what does that prove? That I don't have backing from a scene I turned my back on over a year ago?! Correct! I have strong opinions, I voice my opinions, not everyone is gonna like it but do you see me bitchin about it like you did the other day?? No, you don't. So, carry on doin what you do, that's all good, but quit with this self righteous act about how your doin us all a favour and just get on with doin it. As far as I'm concerned, you being a "straight head" holds no more weight than anyone else fighting our cause, and I got more respect for the dope gay MC's out there droppin mad ill shit than I ever will for you, cause as far as I concerned you contribute nothing to the scene aside some outsiders perspective who will actually never know what it's like to be gay and in hiphop, Just write what you have to write, drop the ego and quit expectin everyone to be on your dick for it.
Kluster wrote "...cause as far as I concerned you contribute nothing to the scene aside some outsiders perspective..."
See? And then you get mad when I toot my own horn? lol! You call me an "outsider?" lol again! How would you feel if black and Latino people took back hip-hop? Then who would be the "outsider?" YOU!
That's why I ain't afraid to speak about my relevancy! Because of mentalities like yours! This is the EXACT same mentality that many straight heads have-- this is OUR music and gay people are OUTSIDERS! Listen to your IGNORANT self!
A white boy (from a another country!)telling a black man (from the country of hip-hop's origin!) I'm an outsider in hip-hop, something that originated from my people! lol! Damn, if it's gay hip-hop! Hip-hop is hip-hop!
You don't have to acknowldge what I've done in this gay hip-hop game! Just keep reading LA Times, Spin, Allhiphop.com, Daveyd.com, Thuglifearmy.com, Byroncrawford.com, Gayagenda.com, Straight Stuntin Magazine, Hoodgrownonline.com, Highbridnation.com, Outhiphop.cometc., etc., etc, etc. .....everybody except Gayhiphop.com, because I don't fuck with your relevant site and when you finish reading all of that shit, read the first book written on gay hip-hop, my book, "Hip-hop Homophobes"
And then, if you ever run into Kanye West, Killer Mike, Kayslay, Cool & Dre, Fab 5 Freddy, Trick Trick, 40 Glocc or Lil Wayne, ask about me! lol!
Are your eyes burning yet? See? You can't slight/diss my work. It just makes you look like the ultimate hater! Stop it already!
I don't need to brag, boast about what I do! People like you and Maker bring that shit out of me! I guess that's my hip-hop side?
Trust me when I tell you that I'm honored to be a part of this Movement! I am in awe of all of these openly LGBT rappers! I've got mad respect and love for the many who I've personally met like Foxx, Cat-Eyez, Nano (my adopted son!), Captain Magic, Bry'NT, Last Offence, Pam Jones, Tim'm West, Downlow, Salvimex, Shunda K, Bigg, Nugg, Q-Boy, Delacruz, Qpid, and others and I hope they feel the same for me!
These are the true stars and icons! I'm just lending my voice to help them get the respect they deserve!
I don't just sit behind a computer screen and blog as some "outsider" as you sugggest. I go to hip-hop concerts, gay & straight and bring the message of OUT hip-hop to all that I encounter.
As an admitted quitter of gay hip-hop, this means nothing to you! That's why you and Maker can come over to OHH, and, instead of giving props, you'd rather question my sexuality. The blog was about meeting and writing a piece in Kayslay's magazine, not about whether I'm gay or straight!
You are the real "outsider" if you don't understand the relevancy/significance of me writing a piece on gay hip-hop for one of the most famous DJs in the world! This shit is GROUND-BREAKING!!!
And you have the gumption, audacity, gall, nerve, ignorance to say, "you contribute nothing to the scene aside some outsiders perspective..." Oh, that's some funny shit right there!
When I met with Kanye West and presented him with my book on gay hip hop and homophobia and four months later he stopped his Madison Square Garden concert and went into a diatribe against homophobia, do you think there is an inkling of a chance that my book shaped his thinking? I have to believe it, whether it did or did not.
This ain't about my ego (although a healthy ego is the balance between the Superego and the Id according to Freud). This ain't about me wanting folk to kiss my ass thank me for being the savior of gay hip hop. Evidently, you see me as such, because that is the furthest thing from the truth and those Out artists who have personally met me know I'm soft-spoken and humble.
You can only convince those who have never met me that I'm what you think I am. And if they choose to judge me off of your skewed perception, have at it!
Dude, Hip-Hop evolves we are a sub genre. Im not questioning your validity of hip-hop i am questioning wether a heterosexual man who is so defensive of his sexuality being questioned should be in a gay Genre, I can understand you getting upset about my comment regarding your sexuality because it took the topic away from your Kay-Slay story and i honestly didn't mean to do that, for that i am sorry ! but as far as the rest of the things i said i am not sorry, you over reacted dude, your in a music genre that's based on sexuality/equality so having your sexuality questioned shouldn't be a big deal and if it is my point is YOUR IN THE WRONG PLACE.. I had allot of respect for your work and have told you that on numerous occasions so why you should think i was being shady with you is anyones guess (unless you don't read your myspace and Facebook then cool)
Secondly, Kay-Slay cant really be quoted for being homo friendly, as far as i know of his history his extremely chauvinistic towards females.
One of his other Names is the "Drama King" and there is a reason for that ! Well done on that story, but perhaps next time someone from GHH/OHH questions your sexuality perhaps take a breath and think before you spit all that "cracka" "you aint hiphop" stuff.
Also very disappointed that you attacked me because you were trying to back up Joseph Lee (Dead (head) Lee)
Also Yepp i admit im a quitter of gayhiphop, you hit the nail on the head, I have done my bit, it's time to let the new people with passion do there shift. It's laborious with little appreciation and Humpty know's im down to help anytime i'm needed, just really don't want to be in the infantry (frontline) anymore. I have a $1.5 million dolla house (thats £900k) and car a dog a husband of 15 years and three companies, my time is always spent on my real life, hiphop has been my life since Bum Rush the Show came out when i was 14 and before then i was a str-8 up electro head... which is hiphop based
Also have you read the book called "about a dog" it was written by a guy with autism ! it goes to show anyone can write a good book if the creativity is there, dang my Partner has written 5 books and been translated into 5 other languages etc if it's what you do then appreciate your niche in life but if your doing it for ghh or hh brownie points then your doing it for the wrong reason..
Okay, so we're gonna chalk this one up to one big ole misunderstanding, because, indeed, I hadn't read your message on Facebook. I did read the one message to me, that's why I found it odd that you would come at me that way. Listen, I could care less about being called gay or faggot! I've been doing this gay hip-hop thing along enough to be immune to that label. I just didn't expect to hear a gay dude questioning me. I totally expect straight heads to diss me, call me a faggot, whatever.
As for Kayslay... that's irrelevant about who/how he is perceived! None of us are without prejudices, bigotry, homophobia, racism, sexism, classism! There is no perfect vehicle to get this message to the masses. Me and Kayslay already had that discussion about sexual exploitation of women. There is room for growth in all of us! And when a man of KAYSLAY'S stature puts himself out there for a cause that is highly controversial to the masses (like gay hip-hop), we can do nothing but embrace that! Not look at the man. If you read my blog on him you'd know that he was TOTALLY AGAINST the gay hip-hop thing, but after having time to re-read my emails and further read my other blogs, he changed his mind! This id the Evolution of the Drama King!
As for the "cracka" comment... I never called you a "cracka"! What I did was use "cracka" as an ANALOGY to show you that if I thought along the lines of you and Klustor... that I am an "outsider" to gay hip-hop... I could take the racist position and say that you "crackas" are the outsiders for stealing a genre of music (rap) that is from black folk, and flipping it to meet your gay agenda, thus "gay hip-hop." This is the argument you will run into time and time again if you suggest that you must be gay to be part of gay hip-hop. (This is not my position!) I have stated 100s of time that hip-hop is for all.... black, white, gay, straight, etc.
The point is... if I'm an "outsider," then you, as a foreigner & white (thus, a cracka, which is an American colloquillism describing racist white people) are guilty of the same things that America was founded on. That is, FOREIGNERS (British) "discovering" another man's living room (America) and then claiming it as his own and then telling the indigenous population (so-called Indians) that it's not his land, that gay hip-hop is not my genre. That's what you and Klustor have effectively tried to do to me. Can you understand my "cracka" analogy now? It's rooted in history!
A black man, I can go any and everywhere in hip-hop! No genre is off-limits to me! That's where you get it twisted! You can't put me on the "Reservation of straight hip-hop" like those CRACKAS did to the Indians! Neither can you "police" who can speak for gay hip-hop.
On Deadlee... yeah, I rep Deadlee! I am his Spiritual Advisor! But more than that, I rep gay hip-hop and all gay rappers! I don't just big-up Deadlee! I big-up folk like Last Offence, who I think is the "answer" to our dilemma. I big-up Twizza, who I have had words with, but he's a huge talent! I really fell in love with Nano! That kid brings clarity in his rhymes! Sonny Lewis, Bone Intell... never met them, but I'm hoping to get them on Kayslay's show. Them niggas are stereotype killas!
So don't get me twisted! I have the utmost respect for Deadlee! He brought me into this genre! It-is-what-it-is! I don't apologize for that! That's my dude just like Klustor is your dude.
On Battling... not every rapper is a battle rapper. You seem to think that because Deadlee may or may not "battle" you, he's trash! Do your hip-hop history! Some of the most notable rappers/groups were not of the battle type, but without their influence, the game would be fucked up! (ex. Mc Hammer's stage/video performances, Two-Live Crew's Freedom of Speech war, Eazy E's gangsta genre advent.) None of them were cut from the mold of "battle rapper", yet they contributed heavily to rap's longevity!
Now put Deadlee's activism, outspokenness, stereotype killing, organizing abilities, media pull along with being an actor and you have one powerful persona! All you wanna talk about is his rhyme skills and multi-syllable bullshit! Hip-hop and rap is far more than lyrical ability! He has his lane, just as you have your lane! Whatever the beef is, give the man his props! The undeniable truth is that Deadlee has done hella good for gay hip-hop and anybody that denies that is a bitch and a hater! Anyone doing a cursory look at gay hip-hop can see that... even Stevie Wonder!
So, what it do? Are we gonna learn to coexist or keep dissing? I'm for peaceful coexistence. But however it goes down, gay hip-hop will out-live both of us!
Okay it was a misunderstanding cool, i wasn't hating on you in the first place so now we got that out the way i want to explain something to you about Joseph Lee and ima just be str8 up about it. Me and him used to be cool, i called once or twice when I'm over the United States (which is pretty regular as most of my fam live on the East Coast) i met him a hand full of times and on all occasions he's been very pleasant. Then i get this call from a friend who lives close by in Inglewood who was telling me that he heard Deadlee talking trash about me to some random guy. I thought he was talking shit, then suddenly Deadlee's boy starts talking shit on a track about me and im like what ? ( HELL I EVEN DID SOME CUTTIN ON DEADLEE'S CARNIVAL TRACK FOR HIM )My boy Aggracyst finally decided he's had enough of the ghh shit so he goes out with a diss track taking a pop at most people on the scene he hates. Even though the track was ill as fuck, he crossed a few lines that even in a battle you really shouldn't do ! talking about peoples health status etc..... and basically, Dead Head Lee just took it on himself to try and fuck things up for me, a whole lot of peeps messaging me talking trash ! Then my name hits another track, deadlee disturbs a forum post to diss me etc...... so im like fuck this fag.... one of Deadlee's so called "projects" that he dropped hit me up on aim and told me the whole deal.... So i just thought we could have had it out over a diss track as that's my kinda shit and he think's he's an OG so presumed he's come back at me..... but he didn't.... cos he cant, and yeah okay i understand it's not all about rhyme skill, but if you get called out for a battle there are only two reasons you dont reply 1) if you lack lyrical ability 2) you feel the person calling you out isn't worth the effort as it would be a str8 up win.... and i know that aint the one.... sooooooooooooo
Having said all that, from this moment onwards ima just keep myself to myself regarding that punk. I should be literally a few miles down the road from his hood in September/October this year so if he wants a face to face battle or whatever just shout me, otherwise this shit can be over now cos i aint wasting no more time on him.
Well I think that's unfortunate what happened between the two fo you and I just believe, like many other beefs in hip-hop history, you two will sit down and chop it up and resolve the situation. As for me, like I've written in the past, your contribution to the scene is without question, just as is Deadlee's. I would be open to meeting with you when you visit the states. Our disagreement isn't really beef in the grand scheme of things. Peace & blessings to you and yours. khalil amani.
Ps. You stop calling me grandpah and I'll stop calling faker and let's try and keep it respectful from this day forward. I can take a joke as well as the next man. I just got you wrong and for that, I apologize. It is done!
cool I'm happy with that, should be in L.A later this year either Oakland or L.A (ingle) depending on what my Fam are up-to ! but yeah cool! peace

Hello everybody. Today I found a new virus on the Internet. He completely breaks your computer, without the possibility of data recovery. Be careful. Check your computer for the virus can be on this service - free virus scan .

It has been said by DJ Klustor and echoed by Mistermaker that Khalil Amani IS NOT a part of gay hip-hop. What criteria is there to being a part of the gay hip-hop movement? Where is the membership form? Who gives the stamp of approval? What is the initiation? Is being LGBT a prerequixite for membership into the gay hip-hop Movement? Does a person have to be a rapper to be part of gay hip-hop? Certainly, that would disqualify Mikey Skillz, Rex Stone and Alize Jenkins. They hold the titles of gay "Asshole," "Interviewer," and "Critic." They are welcomed as part of the gay hip-hop family. Might it be because all of these people are gay (although I have not heard/read that Rex Stone is gay) that their titles are embraced?
But this Khalil Amani guy, the self-professed "Spiritual Advisor" to gay hip-hop... who gave him this title? They write that he "bills himself as..." The nerve of him!
It appears that the same mentality embraced by straight heads regarding gays doing hip-hop is embraced by some gay heads within the gay hip-hop movement, when it comes to straights embracing gay hip-hop!
Certainly, Klustor and Mistermaker question Khalil Amani's involvement, influence and usefulness in gay hip-hop. They are of the mindset that he is attaching himself unto a genre of music that he has no business in, as though hip-hop was born out of the gay experience!
Maybe they are right! Maybe I need to go on back to my straight world. Let me know the deally, so I can tell the world that gay hip-hop is as hypocritical, two-faced and bigoted as straight hip-hop... or sound off and let me know what it really do!
