A. Black Thoughts - 9/24/09

I’ve been quiet for the summer. Mostly because I’ve been enjoying myself and all the cool events. And partly because I’d try to stay away from the bullshit. I’m worried that “OUT” hip-hop isn’t the place for me to have a intelligent conversation about the growth of a movement. I write my blog as a closeted man who loves hip-hop. There doesn’t seem to be room for that in the world of “OUT” hip-hop. The complacency with the bickering and in-fighting is so unwelcoming. I write for the purpose of  promoting the good that this movement represented. But that makes me a singularity in the world of “OUT” hip-hop blogging. To stay above the fray I’ll continue to focus on the positive, after this blog.

First to all my fellow bloggers, what the fuck is wrong with you bitches? Do you not realize that it’s not about you? Of course you don’t because you never were here to promote the movement, the music or the scene. So write about yourselves somewhere else. That’s what I do, if your life is interesting then you will find readers. If not then find something else to do with your time and energy. You attack the artist, they retreat, and then you have lames talking about records on charts no one can find. A critic is fine but the personal attacks are over the top. Than you have people with hidden agenda’s who cover the scene for their own selfish reasons and this movement is just the hot topic they need to get some air time. Khalil, Mickey, and Douche bag Baker are not friends of the movement. And I hope that you the reader, the listener, the interested see them for what they are. There are allies to the movement, seek them out. They’re the ones playing your music and high-lighting the art.

Second has anyone heard Sgt. Sass’s BODY ROCK ep? That shit is the “sure nuff“. I’m such a big fan of there originality. They sound like themselves and that so rear these days. It cost me five bucks and after listen to it for most of the summer I would have paid ten. It’s seven kick ass tracks of shake your ass and have a good time. If you can get a hard copy support these dudes. Hey don’t take my word for it, go catch their live show.

And third I want to show a lot of love to SWERV mag. For the love they’ve shown to the movement. It’s so good to see a real publication taking a interest in the scene beyond a novelty one time article.

THINGS I’M FEELING THIS MONTH

1. SGT. SASS BODY ROCK ep- fire!
2. CHANGING FACES vol. 2 -I’m on my fatboy shit
3. CROSS CONTRY BIKERS- The fatty’s on them
4. GREEN LANTERN MOVIE- So kick ass…
5. BETTER DAYS RADIO
6. GET WIT THIS by A.R.K.
7. BLUE PRINT vol. 3- Hova baby!
8. WATERMELON MARTINI’S
9. DIRECT FLIGHTS- I hate lay over’s
10. HOT MESS RADIO- Excellent listen for those curious to the movement really is

As a person that has worked really close with Foxxjazell in the past and a personal fan of Solomon's music. I'm very curious to know who these "lames" are that you are referring to. Both of these artists have held positions on the charts that are verifable and accountable. Actually Foxx's Split Enz has dropped to no. 47 on the Billboard Hot Single Sales chart. How do I know this? because I have a acct with Billboard.biz the official site for all the Billboard charts in the world including the one I'm referring to.I recommend you should get an acct as well that way you can keep up with the "lames" and the actually artists that are charting. So please sir check your stats before you make assumptions. We all know what happens when you ASSume things. As far as Solomon I believe he is still on the Cd baby charts. This by far not meant to be a catty read but a simple observation by a media consultant/journalist like myself. By the way you can google me. I'm actually a real person.

THAT DOUBLE S IS HARD ASS HELL, I'M DIGGIN' IT TOO

A. Black! You disappoint me. You haven't blogged over here in 4 months and this is what you've come up with? So I'm not a "friend of the movement?" Yeah, I'm just over here to cash in on all this money and fame being made! Fuck outta here!

Arguing, bickering, etc. ... that's passion about an idea. So what? You've got it twisted homeboy! I'm in-it-to-win-it and you blogging to convince us that myself, Mickey or DJ Baker are over here for ulterior motives is just wrong! You lose in-the-closet points playa.

This is why the "Movement" is in such a bitchass state! A. Black. You condemn your fellow bloggers for what we write and then you go and shit on out artists as well (Foxx & Solomon) as "lames", my article in Straight Stuntin as "novelty" and call me and others names (bitches & Douchebags).

And you fancy yourself "above the fray?"

You are as GUILY as us! You are doing your best cheap imitation of Mickey Skillz. Stay in your lane (Q&A) and let Skillz be the asshole.

As for your silly notion that we are here for "our own selfish reasons"... you talk as though niggas is eating off this gay hip-hop shit! No matter what you think about me or others, I believe we are all here to uplift the movement no matter how vast our opinions are about things.

In actuality, it is you who are the "selfish" one... as a blogger, when you'd rather diss the efforts of Kayslay's "novelty article" instead of giving props for at least starting a hip-hop dialogue about gays doing hip-hop.

Selfish... in that, you'd rather diss the efforts of Out artists making waves on Billboards rather than blog about the meaning of such a historic event.

But, when you're not really a writer at heart, this is what you resort to... jumping into the fray, which you so hate from us bitches.

Khalil Amani talking about why the movement is bitchass is the pot calling the kettle black.

As Twizza said, "Spiritual advisors don't "go in", they uplift. I rebuke your ass".

You Mr. Amani are a mockery of what a spiritual advisor should be.

Mr. Black may not be a writer, but what you've done with your flood of words was help crush the soul of a movement that didn't need your deconstructing and driven a permanent and possibly irreversible rift into the Community.

Step back and see something besides YOURSELF.

That's one way you can help NOW, as the laurels of the Kayslay show acheivement make it a distant memory compared to the permanent damage you've done to the morale of a movement that once trusted you to do good, and only good.

Now, we don't trust you.

Ohhh ms. blackburn girl you went in honey. Khalil has been doing more reading of the girls than uplifting lately.I hope this will all stop very soon and we can get back to the music. Shit leave the reading to Mickey Skillz chile he is a asshole and chile you are a spiritual advisor. Advise. Don't read. Can we talk? okayeeeee!!!

Evidently... some of you aren't up on current politics. Had you had an inkling of understanding about the term "Spiritual Advisor" the name JEREMIAH WRIGHT, President Barack Obama's ex-SPIRITUAL ADVISOR would have came to mind. Remember him? He almost caused Obama the presidency with his fiery remarks about "911" Google him!

The problem is that you've got your Christianity wrong! You hear "spiritual" and your mind says "love, "peace" and that's where it ends.

But...

Jesus was the greatest "spiritual advisor" the world has ever seen, yet, he "went in" (dissed) the pharisees, the sadduccees, the Roman government, the preachers of his day and those who had a false sense of righteousness.

There is even a story (your dusty Bible) where Jesus enters the temple and turns over the tables of the dove-sellers and moneychangers and chases their asses out of the House of God.

Point being? Folks that claim an affinity to a Higher Power (God) have to sometimes "read," "go in" and kick some ass!

It ain't always kum-by-yah!

But I'll let you pseudo-religious scholars (Missy, Alize & Twizza) educate me about my title....

OK y'all got me confused with somebody who cares what y'all think?
I say what I think i.e ASHBURN'S THOUGHTS.

Mr. Amani I did get base with you or called you out your name, so don't cloud my truth with your conjecture. And as for your verbose long winded ti raids, dude get to the point.Let them other two dudes speak for themselves. I said and meant what I said.
I never said there was cash here. I said it was a hot topic i.e. something "searchable" to attach your name too. I love these kids spirits even the ones who's music I don't like. For the record I like Solomon, probably longer than any of you. Check the facts earliest supporter. As for Fox I couldn't find any listing of said chart,And some of the things F.J. say's aren't always verifiable and that's lame. Now if I'm wrong Fox set me straight with proof and I'll admit I was wrong. Until than I stand by "lame". And that's not to be a asshole but as I've stated before saying stuff with no fact behind it just to have your name outthere is lame.
I'm done, this is done, Mr.Moderator shut it down please.
